About Us

We are a community rowing club based in Burghead on the Moray Coast of Scotland. Our club was formed by a small group of individuals from the local area who built the boat up from wooden planks to the lovely boat you see today.

We are a warm and friendly bunch always welcoming new faces to our club. Our club members range from age 11 to 70+ (and every decade in between). You do not need any prior experience, level of fitness or expensive kit, just the desire to give something new a go. We can provide you with the kit you need and our club members will help teach you all you need to know.

A crew is made up of four rowers and a coxswain. The coxswain organises the rowing sessions and instructs the rowers in the boats. The rowers have an oar each and follow the instruction of the coxswain to manoeuvre the Skiff.

If you’d like to join us and have a go get in touch via email or through our Facebook page.
